Entrepreneurs in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, and Ethiopia can apply for the second cohort of the Yunus Environment Hub’s StartNow program, an online course for developing social business plans.
Our StartNow online platform is used to promote social business entrepreneur training.
Within eight weeks, the aspiring entrepreneurs engage on a self-learning platform and develop their business plan.
The aim is to provide entrepreneurs with opportunities to track their progress after completing the self-learning experience by integrating online and offline experiences for them to advance on the development and testing of their business plans.
Weekly mentoring sessions are held to provide continuous guidance during the process. As the mentees complete the online course, they join the mentorship pool to assist other social business entrepreneurs in growing their companies.
The StartNow online course for creating a social business plan will allow entrepreneurs to:
Their social business solution’s philosophy of transition
- Create a value proposition for their stakeholders
- Create a product and business plan
- Create a sales model and review its financial feasibility and predictions
- Assess their potential for social and environmental effects, as well as the development of local employment.
Application deadline for the second cohort is April 18th, 2021.
