Nigeria is set to host the inaugural GITEX Nigeria from September 1–4, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s digital transformation journey. This landmark event, organized by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and supported by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, aims to position Nigeria at the forefront of Africa’s tech revolution.

GITEX Nigeria 2025 will unfold across two major cities: Abuja and Lagos. The event kicks off in Abuja with the Government Leadership & AI Summit on September 1–2, bringing together policymakers, tech innovators, and global investors to discuss the transformative role of artificial intelligence in public services and national digital strategy.

From September 3–4, Lagos will host the GITEX Nigeria Tech Expo & Future Economy Summit at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre. This segment will feature over 100 global tech leaders, 3,000+ professionals, and 100+ exhibitors showcasing innovations in AI, fintech, cybersecurity, IoT, and more.

Simultaneously, the GITEX Nigeria Startup Festival at the Landmark Centre in Lagos will serve as the country’s largest gathering of entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators. With over 1,000 curated startups and 300+ investors, this two-day festival aims to accelerate growth and success by connecting startups with potential partners and investors.

The event underscores the Nigerian government’s commitment to fostering a robust digital economy. Dr. Inuwa Kashifu Abdullahi, Director General of NITDA, emphasized that GITEX Nigeria aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Economic Reform Agenda, focusing on trade and economic diversification through global engagement.

GITEX Nigeria 2025 is poised to be a catalyst for innovation, investment, and collaboration, propelling Nigeria into the digital future. With the support of NITDA and the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, the event is set to showcase Nigeria’s dynamic tech ecosystem on the global stage.
