ClusterLab, the Tunisian-born but now UAE-based AI startup behind the Arabic audiobook summarization app Reedz, received $600,000 in pre-seed funding to bolster its R&D efforts.
Originating in Tunisia and having its headquarters in the United Arab Emirates, the startup has raised US$600,000 in pre-seed capital from notable investors such as Karim Beguir, early InstaDeep backers, and local angel investors. Clusterlab’s R&D endeavors will be bolstered by the additional cash.
Founded in 2020 by Haithem Kchaou and Chehir Dhaouadi in Tunisia, ClusterLab offers artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) technology. It is also the creator of Reedz, a tool that uses AI to translate more than 80 languages with ease.
Haithem Kchaou, co-founder and CEO of ClusterLab, stated, “Our technological know-how extends beyond the current wave of large language models.” “We were early adopters of NLP, revolutionizing content summarization long before it was popularised.”
