Egyptian human resources technology startup bluworks has secured US $1 million in seed funding to accelerate growth in its home market and begin expansion across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, according to multiple funding reports.

The Cairo-based company, which develops a digital workforce management platform tailored to businesses with large frontline and blue-collar workforces, said the funding round was led by A15, Enza Capital and Beltone Venture Capital, with participation from Acasia Ventures and strategic angel investors.

Founded in 2022 by Hussein Wahdan and Farah Osman, bluworks offers tools for employee scheduling, attendance tracking, payroll processing, compliance and real-time salary disbursement, designed to replace manual and outdated HR processes common among SMEs.

Investors backing the round highlighted the scale of the opportunity in the region’s workforce segment, where many firms still rely on paper logs, spreadsheets or fragmented software for core HR functions, and noted that digital solutions tailored to frontline employees remain underserved.

Bluworks said it will use the new capital to deepen penetration in the Egyptian SME market, forge strategic partnerships and begin its regional growth strategy across MENA, focusing on strengthening platform capabilities and commercial reach.

CEO Hussein Wahdan described the funding as a pivotal step for scaling the company’s model beyond Egypt’s borders, aiming to deliver greater operational efficiency and transparency for employers and workers across the region.

The raise follows a previous $1 million pre-seed round and reflects sustained investor interest in HR technology aimed at addressing workforce-management challenges in emerging markets.
