Launched in 2023, KERA focuses on serving underserved populations, including informal sector workers and women. The platform seeks to reduce patient costs and enhance service quality through quicker payments and AI-driven efficiency.
Beyond financial support, the IFC will assist KERA in adopting international social and environmental standards, enhancing corporate governance, and establishing mechanisms for employee grievances.
Senegal faces significant healthcare challenges, with less than one physician per 10,000 people. The partnership between IFC and KERA aims to improve access to healthcare services in West Africa using AI and digital solutions.
