Kenyan healthcare startup Zuri Health has announced that it has received funding from Moroccan VC UM6P Ventures.
Founded in 2021, Zuri Health is a telemedicine startup that offers patients in Africa access to high-quality, reasonably priced healthcare using mobile apps, websites, WhatsApp chatbots, and SMS services.
Patients can arrange lab and diagnostic tests, chat and consult with doctors, purchase medication from pharmacies, and plan home visits with qualified medical professionals using the app.
With more patients choosing virtual consultations, Zuri Health has already had substantial success. Remote diagnostics, virtual consultations with specialists, medication distribution, and other services are all available through the user-friendly telemedicine platform. It is simple for patients to communicate their medical history with their doctor because of the platform’s complete integration with electronic medical records.
More than 600 doctors have joined Zuri Health’s platform, and the company has also added more than 16 pharmacy partners and 29 lab partners, including PharmaPlus and Ilara Health. Through these alliances, Zuri Health has tallied over 10,000 test and medication orders as well as 24,000 interactions with WhatsApp Bots.

The company plans to use the funds to improve its existing technology, increase its workforce, and enter new markets, all of which will benefit its patients.
This funding will allow Zuri Health to expand its services to more people and raise the standard of care it provides.
