Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator Kenya is now accepting applications for its program.
This program provides female entrepreneurs with access to world-class startup support as well as local and international business experience in order to assist them in growing their enterprises.
The initiative is looking for female founders of companies that use elements of cutting-edge technology in the development of their products, such as blockchain, augmented and virtual reality, big data, machine learning, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
Standard Chartered launched this program in conjunction with Strathmore University’s @iBizAfrica incubator to help train the next generation of African business leaders and provide them with the resources they need to launch and grow successful ventures throughout the continent.
As part of this program, selected startups will be immersed in learning for 12 weeks, have access to a network of coaching specialists, and participate in business-to-business (B2B) networking events.
In addition to KES1 million (US$7,500) in equity-free grant seed capital for the top seven finalists, Standard Chartered and @iBizAfrica will provide them with continuous support for nine months to help them scale their businesses.
In addition, the selected businesses will have access to one-on-one mentoring sessions tailored to their specific concerns as a company.
The deadline for applications is May 28.
