For the first time in five years, Apple surpassed Amazon to become the most valuable company worldwide.
According to a report by the Brand Finance consultancy, which reviews the world’s largest brands annually, the brand value of Apple soared 87 percent to $263.4 billion, as it reaped the benefits of its diversification strategy beyond the iPhone. It evaluates their power, quantifies their importance and ranks them across industries and nations.
As the top five most valuable brands internationally, Apple was followed by Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Samsung.
