Aerobotics uses machine learning algorithms and aerial imagery from drones to analyze maps and extract actionable information for crops. Its farming consultation services are used in South Africa, Australia, and the UK.

At the launch of their new office in South Africa, they announced $2 million from Paper Plane Ventures, in addition to a previous $2 million series A fund. They said that they will launch a new tool that will enable farmers to collect more accurate data in-field and analyze yield samples.

On Monday, Aerobotics finally launched the new app, “Aeroview InField” to enable farmers detect pest and crop diseases. With the new app, farmers can create a scouted route; take pictures, make notes on their mobile devices; collect multiple data to detect pests and diseases, and investigate with GPS coordinates.
