A non-profit organisation with a mission to educate and network stakeholders in order to promote the development of the blockchain ecosystem in Africa, The Africa Blockchain Alliance has announced the addition of Blockchain Association of Uganda as one of its members.
The Blockchain Association of Uganda will be joining other prominent National Blockchain Associations from across Africa already in the Alliance including the Cryptography Development Institute of Nigeria (CDIN), Blockchain Association of Kenya (BAK) and Ghana Blockchain Society.
ABA will be participating at the African Blockchain Conference in Kampala, Uganda being hosted by the Blockchain Association of Uganda.
The Blockchain Association of Uganda is a non-profit Association, where passionate and talented professionals and experts put forth their skills and competences to serve the needs of the Blockchain ecosystem in the Africa.
“We are delighted to welcome the Blockchain Association of Uganda to the Alliance. There is a lot of blockchain activity all across the continent and we seek to connect blockchain stakeholders all across Africa to collaborate, share best practises and learn from each other to move our continent forward” said Abu Mayanja, Executive Director at Africa Blockchain Alliance and Managing Director ABL Dunamis, Uganda.
The Africa Blockchain Alliance was founded in 2017 out of the realisation that one man alone or a few individuals cannot disrupt a continent as rich as Africa. To help in this quest, the idea of ABA was born to create a network of highly motivated, Afrocentric individuals and corporates willing to bet on the future of the continent using the blockchain
The Alliance is open to individuals and organisations who either have an interest in blockchain in Africa or are already actively engaged in blockchain activities on the continent.
