Civic Hive has announced the second edition of its Civic Hive Fellowship Programme. The fellowship program was officially launched in 2017 and featured solutions that are fixing Nigeria, one at a time.
Civic Hive is BudgIT’s civic innovation cultural centre whose mandate is to strengthen civic innovation in Nigeria, support existing non-profits in use of design and technology,
The programme is meant to deepen the civic technology and government technology space in Nigeria, at the same time strengthening the ability of citizens to influence sustainable change.
This year’s programme will focus on Transparency/Accountability, Civic Participation, and Institutional Efficiency in Nigeria.

Six innovative civic-tech/govtech start-ups would be selected by team of jury comprises of experienced civil society leaders, private sector experts, and ex-heads of government institutions in January 2019. Announcement of winners will be done on February 22, 2018.

The Benefits will Include:
N150,000 monthly stipend for feeding and accommodation would be provided for the participated start-ups.
Other sessions on grant report writing, team management, finance management, and project management will be handled by the Civic Hive Team.
Civic Hive would also hold two rounds of engagements with donors and stakeholders on the ideas to receive feedback and potential support.
Winners would be announced in February 22 2019 and they will be allowed to work freely, receive mentorship for a period and other support till December 2019. The inaugural session for the 2018/2019 cohort would start on March 4, 2019, and will end on August 31, 2019.
