Facebook partnered with Vodacom Lesotho to create Facebook Flex, a connectivity service that will let people access the latest news and headlines for free. It is set to let customers essentially switch between free and data modes in liking, commenting and sharing contents
Philip Amoateng, the Managing Director for Vodacom Lesotho mentioned that about hundreds of unemployed Basotho have used the power of Facebook to find ways to build thriving businesses. Even more has built meaningful relationships within and outside Lesotho.
The prospect of this partnership excites Vodacom Lesotho. As it will allow them to reach even further down the economic chain and encourage more Basotho.
“We at Vodacom are extremely passionate about giving Basotho the best possible tools for them to lead successful and fulfilling lives, using our network and the tools we can provide, to make their lives easier,” says Amoateng. “This partnership is one of the many ways in which we hope to achieve that.” He said.
