Telkom’s Omniconnect Cuts Communication Cost for Kenyan Businesses

The cost of communication is very high, especially for business owners and corporate organizations. After the acquisition of fixed telephone lines, they also pay heavily for the installation of telephone systems and recurring cost of postpaid subscriptions. Telkom leveraged on these factors to introduce Omniconnect, a cloud-based platform that allows businesses and corporate organizations in Kenya to communicate efficiently in the workplace.

The Enterprise Managing Director, Mr. Kris Senanu, said that Omniconnect will allow business owners to focus on their core businesses without incurring much cost and therefore, fostering seamless communication.

Telkom Kenya, the first telco company established in 1999, has been offering value-added services to simplify lives and make business efficient for over 4 million subscribers. These services include data, mobile money, voice and networking to individuals, SMEs, and large corporate organizations in Kenya. The introduction of Omniconnect will support its SME and Corporate subscribers and also, open it up to new opportunities.

Corporate organizations have the options of either paying for gold or the silver package. The silver option entails a minimum of 20 users, call recording and ad hoc video content calls while the gold option offers all silver packages plus web collaboration, voicemail-to-email, Microsoft Office 365 and Conference Bridge. Features of Omniconnect includes web collaboration, video calls, integrated application options for customer contact and messages, unique hybrid solution for business continuity, up to 512 ports for audio conferencing and call accounting reports.
