Talk360, a South African-based international calling software that allows individuals all over the world to make dependable and economical calls to any landline or mobile phone in the world, has received seed funding of $4 million.

HAVAC, 4Di Capital, and renowned fintech angel investors, including Gaston Aussems, Robert Kraal, Gabriel de Montessuss, and Marnix van der Ploeg, took part in the funding round.

Talk360, founded in 2016 by Dean Hiine, a South African entrepreneur, and Dutch entrepreneurs Hans Osnabrugge and Jorne Schamp, allows users to make calls to any landline or mobile phone in the world.

“Our objective has always been to bridge distance and connects lives by providing dependable, inexpensive, and easy-to-use digital services offered in a localized manner to all communities, particularly emerging countries, so they can connect to the world,” Hiine added.

“Independent of users’ currency or chosen method of payment, the Talk360 app is currently Africa’s number one calling app.” Our reach extends beyond the standard credit and debit card support that multinational corporations typically employ, thanks to our +750,000 physical points of sale and ability to handle mobile wallets. “We now have enough traction to attract internationally known investors to help us grow our presence and allow other businesses to use our unique single checkout payment platform for all of Africa,” Hiine concluded.
