NESG Is Looking For Start-ups to Pitch at its Annual 2018 Summit

A private-sector funded organisation, Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), has started receiving applications for the NES #24 Start-ups Pitching Event. The event is aimed at connecting new ventures looking to raise funds with potential investors

8 selected start-ups will pitch in front of venture capitalists and investors. Each start-up will have 5 minutes to pitch to prospective investors and 10 minutes to answer questions from them.

Eligibility

  1. Registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and doing business for no more than five (5) years; and
  2. Engaged in any sector of the economy (agriculture, education, health, ICT, manufacturing, renewable energy and transport, etc.)

Application Requirements

  1. CAC Certificate of Incorporation
  2. Business Plan (Maximum of 3 pages)
  3. Pitch Deck

Interested applicants/start-ups can apply here.

Successful start-ups will be announced on October 5, 2018 and they will be invited to pitch at the event on October 21, 2018, to a group of investors at the Trancorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) was incorporated in 1996 as a non-profit, private sector organisation with a mandate to promote the reform of the Nigerian economy into an open, private sector-led globally competitive economy.

Startups can be engaged in any sector of the economy, including health, education, agriculture, renewable energy and transport.

The application process will end on August 31st, 2018.
