Africa’s leading entrepreneurship focused philanthropy, the Tony Elumelu Foundation, is launching the world’s largest digital platform – TEFConnect.
TEFConnect, a platform dedicated to African entrepreneurs and the African entrepreneurship ecosystem, will launch officially at the 2018 TEF Forum on October 25, 2018 in Lagos.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Parminder Vir OBE, and the Founder, Tony O. Elumelu, said,
“The Tony Elumelu Foundation is simply about empowering African entrepreneurs.
“TEFConnect is an open source platform, which will provide bespoke tools and content to catalyse business development for millions across the continent through technology and directly applicable content.”
It stated that the TEFConnect platform, positioned as the ‘Facebook for African Entrepreneurs’, was a contemporary, intuitive, informative and user-friendly go-to entrepreneurship space, providing five specific benefits to its users.
The benefits, according to the foundation, are access to a one-stop digital home for entrepreneurship ecosystem players, including entrepreneurs, incubators, investors, academia and the private sector; providing news, informative resources, entrepreneurship events and other opportunities.
Other benefits were given as creating the space for African entrepreneurs to transact across countries and regions on the continent’s largest digital marketplace, with traffic reaching millions of consumers; and providing access to free business tools such as financial planning calculators, business plan generators and marketing templates.
