Like we forecasted in our macOS Mojave 10.14.1 update review, Apple Inc. has released its latest devices. They include: iPad Pro models, Mac computers and the Mac Mini. The event held at Brooklyn on Tuesday. Click here to see some of the features in the latest gadgets.
On the other hand, Facebook continues to witness growth despite the scandals it has faced. The quarterly results revealed that Facebook revenue rose by 33% to $13.7bn (£10.7bn) in the third quarter, however, its growth may be stalling in developed countries.
In Africa, Aircraft manufacturer, Airbus has unveiled the second edition of its Africa4Future initiative and African tech start-ups can apply to join its six-month long acceleration programme. The joint accelerator programme is run by Airbus’ global aerospace accelerator BizLab and Make-IT in Africa, an initiative of the German Agency for International Co-operation (GIZ). Interested applicant can apply here.
South African based fintech firm, MFS Africa has secured a Series-B funding round led by China-based VC company, LUN Partners Group. The fund is an extension round to a $4.5-million round the company closed earlier this year, and brings the total round of funding to $14-million.
Finally, the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) Information and Communications Technology growth index has ranked Nigeria behind Kenya, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirate (UAE). According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), the META region holds greater developmental keys, especially for the adoption of new technologies.
