In Uganda, some unidentified hackers broke into the systems of Pegasus Technologies, a company that integrates mobile money transactions and international money transfer services. MTN, Airtel, and Stanbic Bank fell victim.

Good news! Apple has finally revealed the launch date of its 5G iPhones. On October 13th, it will hold its biggest product launch event tagged “Hi, Speed.” We can’t wait to give a mind-blowing review.

Facebook has launched a Community Management Certification Program on Facebook Blueprint. The free online courses will serve as a resource for community managers across a range of businesses.

Back in Nigeria, Max.ng has become the first African mobility company to issue a bond. It has raised $1 million and hopes to reach $22million under a Private Company Bond program.

And finally, in Ethiopia, some angel investors have launched the Addis Ababa Angels Network to fund early-stage innovative startups. This will bring an end to the over-reliance of bank loans to scale.
