With the aid of the new Chrome Extension, it will be quite difficult for hackers to take over your account. This is all thanks to the new password checkup tool that got released on the 5th of February 2019. The tool will send out a warning if the username and password you are using is stolen, it then notifies you to change them. Kurt Thomas, a research scientist at Google has said we are most likely to fall victim to an account take over without the above safety measures. The tool doesn’t save or view your password. Interesting news.
Finally, on the Big 5 Daily, A web tool which can hire and fire staffs has gone live for South African tech startups. The tool is a joint initiative of the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), they created this after they realised that 90% of the cases that come to their table is related to disagreements between employees and employers. The tool allows entrepreneurs source information regarding; staff recruitment, staff management, work termination etc. And what is more? It is free! It is really good to see corporations build tech solutions to existing problems.
That’s it for the Big 5 Daily today, thanks for joining us.
