At the Time Flies event yesterday, Apple announced a range of products and updates for its previous-generation models. These include the Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch 6, iPad Air 4, iPad, iOS 14, iPad OS 14, and Apple One subscription bundles. Watch out for the reviews! 

In Nigeria, the Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a set of guidelines for cryptocurrency operators. It will regulate crypto coins, tokens, and all digital virtual assets to ensure transparency and protect the best interest of the public.

Google is providing free tools and resources for SMEs in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa. It set aside $3 million grants for non-profits and a digital hub that will provide these resources and tools for 500,000 small businesses.  

Vodafone Foundation has invested $28 million to expand its “M-mama Ambulance Taxi Programme” in Sub-Saharan Africa. The emergency transport system relies on mobile money technology to help reduce neonatal and maternity rates in Tanzania. 

Finally, for the Big 5 Daily, Cairo-based Rology has raised $860000 Pre-Series A funding in a round led by HIMangel. It plans to grow its on-demand teleradiology startup that connects hospitals with readily available radiologists.
