Hey Africa!

We are back this week with more interesting tech news across the globe. Let’s run through together.

KAINOafrica, a Uganda based start-up is taking its e-learning initiative, KAINOtab to three schools. This tab will give teachers, students and parents access to guides, textbooks and educational games both online and offline.

Egypt based entrepreneurship platform, RiseUp will be launching Start-up called ‘Manifesto’ on December 4. The programme is to provide solutions to the challenges faced by the Egyptian entrepreneurs.

Also in Egypt, Halan has raised a multi-million Series A round from international investor, Battery Road Digital Holdings, Egypt’s VC, Algerba Ventures, and some other strategic investors, MENAbytes reports.

The Innovation Village, which is an incubation hub in Uganda is launching a start-up fund called The 97, this will focus on start-ups that find it difficult to secure early stage investment. The fund will have a combination of individual and institutional investors.

Four months after it launched, Nigeria’s incubator, Itanna has held its first demo day event and four Nigerian start-ups: KoloPay, Accounteer, Tradebuza and PowerCube raised $25,000 each from the Accelerator. Itanna is backed by Honeywell Group and the event marked the end of its four-month start-up accelerator programme.

…and that is all for the day. See you tomorrow.
