FieldAI, a robotics software startup specializing in AI systems for industrial environments, has raised $405 million in two consecutive funding rounds, propelling its valuation to $2 billion. The investment was led by prominent firms including Bezos Expeditions, Khosla Ventures, NVentures (NVIDIA’s venture capital arm), Canaan Partners, Intel Capital, Prysm, and Temasek.

Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Irvine, California, FieldAI develops software that enables robots to perform tasks in “dirty, dull, and dangerous” environments. Unlike traditional robotics companies that build both hardware and software, FieldAI focuses on creating software that can be installed on a wide range of existing robots, allowing for more cost-effective and scalable deployments.

The company’s technology integrates principles of physics to manage risk in changing environments, allowing robots to operate safely without the need for pre-mapped surroundings. This approach has garnered attention from investors and industry leaders, positioning FieldAI as a leader in the field of embodied AI.

The new funding will support FieldAI’s expansion into new markets and the development of more advanced AI capabilities, further solidifying its position at the forefront of industrial robotics innovation.
