Plerk, the all-in-one benefits membership for employees, has closed a $12M Series A round.

Upload Ventures, Magma Partners, 500 Startups, and MGV Capital participated in the round.

Plerk’s benefits membership aims to fight burnout among employees and improve their quality of life. Employees have flexible benefits such as telemedicine, wellness, education, entertainment, and fitness through a partnership with the Brazilian unicorn Gympass.

Its founders Ángel Arias and Miguel Medina and Antonio Martínez were building a business travel tool for employees that, in 2020, was selected for a Y Combinator batch. But then, the pandemic hit.

This was the turning point in which Ángel, Antonio, and Miguel decided to pivot and create Plerk.

In the last year, Plerk has acquired more than 40,000 users through more than 350 companies in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile, with the help of its 150 collaborators.
