A prototype video showing the hyperloop ride, from arriving at the portal to boarding the pod, was released by Virgin Hyperloop.
Following the success of its first passenger tests, Virgin Hyperloop has unveiled its vision for the future hyperloop experience.
The newly released concept video takes the audience step by step, from arriving at the portal to boarding the pod, on a hyperloop journey.
Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World and Chairman of Virgin Hyperloop, said, “It is a glimpse of the future to show the passenger experience of Virgin Hyperloop, following the success three months ago when people first rode in a hyperloop pod.” We have shown our technology’s maturity. We are moving closer to selling what will be the first modern mass-scale mode of transport in a century.”
“It is both an opportunity and a responsibility to design a new mode of transportation from scratch,” said Sara Luchian, Passenger Experience Director of Virgin Hyperloop and one of the first people to travel the hyperloop in November.
Virgin Hyperloop is currently paving the way for the regulation and certification of hyperloop systems around the world following their successful passenger testing.
In 2013, Elon Musk introduced the concept of hyperloop technology and challenged engineers to use low-pressure tube trains to create a sustainable, high-speed form of transport.
The organization intends to achieve safety certification by 2025, with commercial activities starting in 2030, such as those illustrated in this video.
