The 2025 TICON Africa Conference is scheduled to take place from August 20 to 22 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. This year’s event is co-hosted by the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana (IIPGH) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG), marking a significant collaboration between the technology and marketing sectors. Themed “Empowering Africa’s Tech Future: Innovation, Standards, and Global Influence,” the conference aims to explore how Africa can lead globally through smart standards, inclusive innovation, and bold digital strategies.
The conference will feature over 40 speakers from renowned organizations such as Google, Microsoft, Discovery, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Salesforce, and the MIT Centre for Collective Intelligence. Attendees can expect more than 50 sessions covering topics like AI strategy, automation, inclusive growth, and the ethical considerations of AI technologies. Notable speakers include Kabelo Makwane from Google Africa, Valter Adão from Singularity University Africa, and Steven Sidley from the University of Johannesburg.
In addition to the main sessions, the summit will host a Generative AI 101 workshop led by Dillon Jearey of Circle Forward Global. There will also be discussions on AI-powered fraud prevention featuring experts like Roshan Jelal from FNB and Rahul Jain from Peach Payments.
