The University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business will be hosting its Pathways to Funding Do-Ference in September at the Bertha Centre this year.
Bertha Centre has partnered up with the Flexible Workspace @ 8 Morrison Street in Durban, the Impact Hub in Johannesburg, and the Bandwidth Barn in Cape Town to spread the event to several locations across South Africa at different dates.
Each event duration will span for two days max. The event at Durban will take place form September 7th to the 8th. The Johannesburg event will be from September 15th to the 16th. The Cape Town event will occur on September 28th to the 29th.
The events will give delegates the chance to learn how to raise funds through practical interactive mini-workshops, inspirational TED-style talks, and free personal sessions with experts.
Some of the topics that will be covered during the events include social finance, understanding your business, reaching your goals, and inspiring inclusive and sustainable business models.
Speakers that will attend include Bathabile Mpofu, the winner of the 2016 Total Startupper of the Year award, and Darlene Menzies, the founder and CEO of FinFind.
The event will run about 5 workshops simultaneously, offering event goers the opportunity to attend which workshops would benefit them or interest them most. No matter what phase your business is in, the experts attending are there to provide you with any solutions you may need.
Through the Bertha Centre, entrepreneurs will be guided by support organizations to learn how to make a profit from their social and environmental impact as well as learn how to blend grants, loans, and equity investments.
