Colis is a Moroccan cross-border logistics startup that has received a US$300,000 pre-seed funding round to expand into West Africa and bolster its domestic footprint.

After participating in the Plug and Play Morocco accelerator and raising US$50,000 from The Baobab Network, the firm has now secured US$300,000 in pre-seed funding from Witamax to expand its reach throughout Morocco’s five main regions.

Colis, which was founded by Issam Darui in 2022, processes shipments to and from six European nations and has delivered over 55,000 packages in the past two years.

“We are extremely grateful to Witamax for supporting our vision from the start. This funding allows us to broaden our geographic coverage and further improve the quality of our services,” Darui said. “Our goal is to become a key player in logistics between Africa and Europe, offering innovative technological solutions to a sector undergoing transformation.”

The additional funds will be utilised to plan for future growth in Africa, with a focus on West Africa.
