An assembly plant for the Nigerian technology-driven enterprise, AfriOne Ltd, was unveiled last week. This is the first step in the “Made in Nigeria” plans they have embarked on. Their intention is to produce phones and other technological devices that are crafted in Nigeria by Nigerians. Read on to find out more about this plant.
The 20,000-square foot facility will not only host an assembly line, but has a research and development (R&D) facility, as well as testing laboratories. According to the Chief Executive officer of AfriOne, the facility should be able to produce 300,000 mobile phone devices monthly in its stride.
Last week Friday, AfriOne unveiled the first Nigerian-made android phones into the market. A look at their Facebook page, as well, will also unveil the AfriOne 2 in 1 tablet/PC. A personal computer that is sleek and light among several other, modern-standard electronic devices made by AfriOne. The company has managed to set itself apart by offering these products.
